2. Overview
Freelancer Radar is a workflow tool that helps users discover opportunities, evaluate fit, prepare application materials, and track related activity. The service may automate certain workflow steps after explicit user initiation or authorization.

- Profile details and preferences
- Profile photo (if uploaded)
B. Resume and application data
- Uploaded resumes / CVs
- Parsed resume content
- Resume variants / tailored versions
- Generated application drafts
- Notes and workflow history
C. Portal connection data
- User-provided portal credentials
- Portal-specific connection metadata
D. Gmail integration data (optional)
If a user connects Gmail:
- OAuth tokens
- Email metadata
- Email content relevant to recruiter / application workflow
- Classification outputs such as contacted / rejected / follow-up
E. Technical and operational data
- Authentication and security data
- Logs and error traces
- Operational diagnostics
- Support/admin access logs
F. AI processing data
- Resume text
- Job descriptions
- Draft-generation prompts and outputs
- Email-classification prompts and outputs
4. Purposes and Legal Bases
Service provision (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
We process data to:
- create and manage user accounts
- store and manage resumes and profile information
- generate and store application drafts
- support portal workflows initiated by the user
- support application tracking and workflow features
Security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and support (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
We process limited data to:
- secure the service
- detect abuse and failures
- troubleshoot issues
- maintain product integrity
- investigate technical problems
Consent-based processing (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
Where applicable, we rely on consent for optional features such as:
- Gmail connection and related processing
5. Human-in-the-loop submission
Freelancer Radar helps users discover, evaluate, and prepare applications. Users are expected to review materials before submission.
The service may automate certain submission steps only after user initiation or authorization. Freelancer Radar does not promise successful submission, acceptance, or processing by third-party portals.
6. Portal Credentials
Users may choose to connect credentials for supported portals.
Where credentials are stored, they are stored in encrypted form and used only to provide the requested portal connection and related workflow functionality.
Users can remove credentials at any time.
7. Gmail Integration
Gmail connection is optional.
If connected, Gmail access is used only to support application-related workflow features such as detecting recruiter replies or related email activity.
Gmail access is read-only and can be disconnected by the user at any time.
Freelancer Radar does not use Gmail-connected data for unrelated marketing or unrelated profiling.
8. AI Processing
Certain content may be processed by AI/cloud providers in order to:
- generate drafts
- classify recruiter or application-related emails
- support product functionality
Users should review AI-generated content before using it.
9. Support and Admin Access
Authorized support/admin personnel may access limited account and workflow information for troubleshooting, maintenance, security, and support purposes.
Sensitive credentials should not be available in plain text to support/admin personnel.
Support/admin access should be limited and logged.
10. Third-Party Service Providers
At launch, Freelancer Radar may rely on the following providers:
- Microsoft Azure — hosting / infrastructure
- OpenAI — AI-powered draft generation and related processing
- Google — Gmail OAuth / Gmail integration
These providers may process personal data as part of delivering the service.
11. International Transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the EEA. Where applicable, appropriate safeguards are in place.
12. Data Retention
As a general rule, Freelancer Radar retains data only as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant service purpose, legal obligations, or legitimate operational needs.
Typical examples:
- account/profile data: until deletion or legal necessity
- resumes/drafts/workflow data: until deletion
- portal credentials: until removed or deletion
- Gmail tokens: until disconnect or deletion
- logs/audit events: limited retention for security and operational purposes
13. User Rights
Users may have the right to:
- access their data
- request correction
- request deletion
- request restriction
- object to certain processing
- request portability where applicable
- lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority
